How Sapivin works

The board

Six subjects across, four levels down, twenty-four squares. A board about France has six French regions; a board about grapes has six grape varieties; the world board has six countries. Every square holds one question with four answers.

Points

Bronze squares are worth 100, silver 200, gold 300, diamond 400. A right answer earns the square's value. A wrong answer costs the same. A perfect board is 6,000. You can stop whenever you like: Cash in keeps your points, with no penalty for stopping early. So the game is as much about which squares you dare to open as about what you know.

Challenge a friend

When you finish, share the board. Your friend plays exactly the same twenty-four squares and sees both scores at the end. No sign-up, no names, nothing stored: the link carries your score.

The questions

They come from The Wine Profile, a wine-education game with thousands of questions on 108 wine regions in 17 countries and 22 grape varieties, written in Swedish and translated into English. Sapivin plays a sample of them. Every board ends by naming the subject you were weakest on and pointing you to it on The Wine Profile, where the full quizzes, maps and ranks are.

FAQ

Is it free?

Yes, and there is nothing to buy inside it.

Do I need an account?

No. Sapivin has no accounts and no login; your boards stay in your phone's browser.

Can I play with friends in the same room?

Yes: Play together seats two to four players on one phone, each with a wax seal, taking turns square by square. Or send the link and compare scores at the end.

Why can my score go below zero?

Because a wrong answer costs as much as a right one earns. Opening a diamond square is a bet.

Which languages?

Swedish and English, the languages the questions exist in.
